Non-Invasive Vascular Studies
After conducting physical exams, our physicians use non-invasive
vascular studies as the starting point for diagnosing diseases and
conditions that affect the circulatory system, such as atherosclerosis,
aneurysms and deep vein thrombosis. These tests are considered
non-invasive because they do not require the use of needles or injection
of dyes. Examples include chest x-rays, electrocardiograms and CT scans.
Ultrasounds are the most frequently used non-invasive vascular study,
as these types of tests are capable of delivering imaging of the heart –
including the direction and pace of blood flow.
